TECH ARROW
Enabling Data Archiving, Migration, and GDPR Compliance

CIO VendorJozef Vegh, CEO
Having gathered extensive experience and knowledge in email archiving, Jozef Végh, András Pálffy, and Vladimír Werškov found data migration to be the next big thing to focus their efforts on. A few years after selling their successful company to a New York investment fund, the trio decided to venture into the data migration space, and consequently founded TECH-ARROW in a 1000 square feet garage.

Jozef Végh, the company’s CEO recalls how the three founders began their first day at TECH-ARROW with a vision to build their first migration product, contentGATE focusing on email archive systems. The company later started collaborating with companies that dealt with email management. “My vision was always to trade a platform where we can run multiple products, which are aligned with each other and we succeeded,” says Végh. The company’s portfolio now comprises products that provide support for data migration, email archiving, file archiving, SharePoint archiving, secure sharing as well as GDPR compliance. Having started with three people, TECH-ARROW today has a team of more than 20 employees and offices in Berlin and San Diego apart from its headquarters in Slovakia.

The company’s email and file archiving product—contentACCESS—is the only platform that runs both on-premise as well as on the cloud leveraging the Microsoft Azure platform. With its data migration and email archiving products, TECH-ARROW guides companies through the whole process of cloud adoption in compliance with GDPR.
“With the news of GDPR to be mandated, we identified that archiving and GDPR have many similarities,” says Végh. Everybody talks about GDPR, but no one has the right tools for it. “We are a software vendor that helps companies overcome the GDPR challenges by automating processes that protect and archive their data,” adds Végh.

Every organization today employs at least an email system, file sharing system, cloud, or on-premise applications. Végh considers identifying personal information from various such sources and documents to be the biggest challenge, and that is where TECH-ARROW helps. When one of its clients wanted to identify their company and customer data, especially from emails, they sought assistance from the TECH-ARROW team, which then indexed and categorized the inbound emails in compliance with GDPR. The customer later decided to use more functions of the platform, storage of personally identifiable data for only as long as necessary is now solved using TECH-ARROW’s contentACCESS platform.

The company’s latest offering is the GDPR version of its archiving solutions. The new version of the next-generation archiving software— mycompanyarchive—is built to suit the needs of companies of all sizes. It helps companies maintain GDPR compliance in a simple and effective manner and also features a secure sharing capability that allows customers to safely share their documents when needed.

Going forward, TECH-ARROW seeks to embrace its collaborations with distributors and partners across the world. Leveraging the partnership with EdgeWave, a San Diego-based company, TECH-ARROW is aiming to expand its footprint in the U.S. besides strengthening their presence in the European market. Further, expansion to the UK, Australia, and eastern part of the world is also on TECH-ARROW’s radar. In the next few years, the company envisions upgrading its cloud archiving, information management, and GDPR offerings. Cybersecurity also seems to be a key focus area for TECH-ARROW. A testament to this is ThreatTest, the company’s first joint cybersecurity product with EdgeWave. “Our goal is to provide the world’s safest inbox. TECH-ARROW’s and EdgeWave’s products were complementing each other in a nice way, addressing various challenges in email security. With ThreatTest we are adding the missing piece of the puzzle,” says Végh. While the product is available in the U.S., the next step for the company is to work toward introducing it in the European market.
