Making Simulation Accessible to All

The 21st century is an era of smart products that are driven by cutting-edge mechanical, electronic, and software components. While these products make life simple, developing them for great user experience and automation is an arduous task as there is huge complexity involved at every stage of the design and production. The associated risks with developing innovative products are high and failing to address these can lead to critical failures post production. To that end, many companies rely on simulation to test every action a product is suppose to perform in the user environment and check for its efficacy. However, the legacy simulation tools are costly that makes it hard for mid-level engineers and architects to use them. SimScale addressed this and developed the world's first, cloud-based SaaS application for engineering simulation. By combining computational fluid dynamics (CFD) and finite element analysis (FEA), SimScale has moved away from the traditional costly desktop application to a user-friendly web application. SimScale, a next-generation application is accessible not only to large companies but also small businesses.

SimScale reduces the risks related to cost, project extensions, and design change requests while strengthening the relationship between design and production. The cloud-based platform allows users to run more simulations, and in turn, iterate more design changes compared to traditional local computer-based systems. It supports all standard 3D files to enable clients to use their preferred computer-aided design (CAD). Besides, the solution has an easy-to-use workflow, tutorials, and resources that guide a user through the design validation process, providing an optimal user experience. What sets the solution apart is its ability to run multiple simulations in parallel to work on multiple designs simultaneously. What's more, clients can exchange best practices, get expert advice, and gain access to over 300,000 simulation projects as templates.

Further, the firm has an exceptional team of customer support engineers who can help clients around the clock.

With every SaaS solution, security becomes a major concern for users. SimScale has it covered with AES-encrypted hard drives on servers as well as in external data centres to ensure the highest data security. SimScale is protected by one of the world's strictest data protection and privacy standards to keep clients' minds at ease.

Easy to use, SimScale is a highly-compatible cloud solution that is easy for clients to install and start working instantly. The solution is accessible from a standard web browser and any computer, eliminating the hurdles that accompany traditional simulation tools.

Today thousands of companies worldwide leverage SimScale to optimize their systems. One such company is a large construction organization that is ranked among the world's top 30 contractors. This client of SimScale faced a challenge in their lift irrigation projects in which the structures in the sump-cum-pump house had to be designed to ensure that the flow reaching the pumps is free from any vortices. To that end, the client decided to use SimScale's computational fluid dynamics (CFD) to analyze the flow. The cloud-based solution streamlined the demonstration of the project for the client. Besides, SimScale also helped them to modify their design and reduce the overheads. With SimScale, the client's team reduced the time to solve the sump geometry problems by approximately 15 days.

Marching ahead, SimScale plans to expand its geographical boundaries across the six continents and open new offices in Europe and South America. The firm is also looking to add new features to its simulation platform to offer new capabilities for clients and grow its team of experts by recruiting brilliant minds worldwide. The firm also looks forward to continue innovating new solutions to provide enhanced value to clients.
