SemVox
Redefining Human-Machine Relationship through ODP S3

Dr. Norbert Pfleger, CEO“Our vision is to provide AI assistance to our customers and equip them to integrate the technology seamlessly with their products,” says Dr. Norbert Pfleger, CEO of the company. Most importantly, SemVox enables customers to completely control their data and prohibit transfer to unreliable third-party servers, facilitating utmost privacy. To provide a better insight about the convenience the organization offers to its users, Pfleger cites the example of a user seeking flight details. He adds that a system that reveals all possible flight details for a destination based on a single voice-input of a user would probably be a huge sigh of relief for travelers who are currently relying on online booking portals. SemVox intends to introduce such a holistic AI-powered solution in the future and make a routine, mundane task far more interesting and convenient.
SemVox empowers its clients through its groundbreaking invention, ODP S3 (also available as an SDK), which enables efficient voice control, intelligent dialogue and proactive assistance
SemVox has made great strides in voice-enabled AI assistance since its humble beginning almost a decade ago. While the organization initially catered to the needs of reputed automotive OEMs and home-entertainment applications, it now also addresses the needs of the industry sector with voice-enabled applications that support complex manufacturing processes. The company’s services also witness extensive usage among healthcare institutions. SemVox’s clientele also includes three of the globally most renowned automobile manufacturers, for example, Audi, who have adopted the company’s voice assistance systems in their latest cars.
In its attempt to meet the evolving needs of organizations from various sectors, SemVox enhances the abilities of the ODP S3 in frequent intervals of three months. An add-on named InDia, short for Instant Dialogue, is the organization’s latest accomplishment. InDIa is the company’s initiative to empower systems, which already have task management ability with embedded voice control and command features. Apart from engineering innovative voice control solutions, the organization also focuses on robotics.
Pfleger mentions that robots will pave the way for a significant change in the lifestyle of mankind in the years to come by mimicking the behavior of humans and perform tasks which were deemed impossible for a machine. During the recent InnoRobo 2017, a robotics-themed event held in Paris, the company collaborated with the firms Unity Robotics and Nuance to exhibit the ability of robots. SemVox revealed its expertise in robotics by exhibiting two showstopper machines, namely Billy-Billy, an intelligent, talking flowerpot and Paul, a highly sophisticated customer service robot. SemVox also envisages the development of a realistic, AI-powered model that resonates with the emotional state of a human. “Our long-term goal is to provide a system that reflects the emotional state of a human being,” concludes Pfleger.
