While the adoption and use of the internet has completely transformed the way organisations run and grow their business, it has also given rise to numerous cybersecurity challenges. To combat the issues, today, almost every organisation has security solutions in place to prevent cybercriminals and hackers from entering their networks. However, an aspect that is often undermined in these cybersecurity measures is the ability to deal with the complexity of insider and external threats that impact the ecosystem of a company, regardless of its size. These breaches exploit internal data and system access privileges, thereby significantly impairing an organisation’s workflow. With an emphasised focus to curb such threats, Romania-based Nextgen Software had made an entry into the cybersecurity world in 2016. Developing and delivering innovative cybersecurity solutions, Nextgen Software aims to provide extensive visibility to an organisation’s data and provide fast insight to any blind spot. Discussing the importance of Nextgen Software solutions, Cristina Murgoci, Marketing Director at Nextgen Software says, “The need of the hour is a solution that not only unifies all the existing data sources but also provides governance and real-time response to cybersecurity challenges that emerge from within or outside an organisation.” This is what, Nextgen Software’s flagship solution, CyberQuest™ brings to the table.

A fully scalable data security analytics platform, CyberQuest gathers valuable data from multiple sources and empowers users to take actionable, critical cybersecurity decisions in real time. “We have developed a solution to provide controlled access to all platforms and processes of a company’s IT infrastructure,” mentions Marius Sticlaru, CEO at Nextgen Software.

The platform interprets high volumes of data at a rapid pace—using intelligent data processing and correlation mechanisms—and enables companies to make significant decisions faster. This is made possible through CyberQuest™ run-time analytics to generate quick reports. That being said, CyberQuest™ also has advanced capabilities for correlating, monitoring, and investigating any type of data deemed relevant for security purposes. The system helps in identifying cyber threats faster and alerting users in case of abnormalities. However, what truly makes CyberQuest™ unique is its robustness to ensure the security and integrity of a data infrastructure according to the EU GDPR requirements, as well as the ability to integrate with legacy systems within minutes.

Elucidating the platform’s efficiency, Sticlaru shares their story of working with a major bank. After successfully installing CyberQuest™ to their system, the client was able to reduce unauthorised data transfer reports on USB devices from several hundred to almost ten per day. Another example includes a software company, which managed to trace a hidden data breach in their bonusing system, by using CyberQuest™. Thus, with the help of CyberQuest™, companies can manage access to their data, monitor changes, and investigate any potential breaches, all while remaining compliant to data security standards. In addition, CyberQuest™ has also proved to be an effective solution for ensuring people’s security on premises. For instance, during an earthquake safety drill, a client used CyberQuest™ to quickly identify the number of people that were transiting from the different exits of their premises, in order to simplify the evacuation process.

Today, Nextgen Software has helped several organisations in the corporate, as well as government sectors to solve challenges of a complex and evolving cybersecurity landscape and meet their compliance requirements. Going forward, Nextgen Software plans to expand its solutions’ reach globally by establishing strong partner networks. With cybersecurity threats becoming increasingly potent and frequent, Nextgen Software is all set to change the face of information security with its comprehensive, cutting-edge platform in the upcoming years.
