The technologies encapsulated by intelligent automation and to apply them to improve operational efficiency and maximize business growth
FREMONT, CA: In reaction to the disruption caused by the Covid-19 outbreak, several firms are attempting to restructure and optimise their business procedures. According to the PEX Network's Report 2022: Global State of Process Excellence, a 67percent of respondents assessed the pandemic to be extremely or somewhat disruptive to their operational excellence (OPEX) programme.
Intelligent automation (IA) is defined in PEX Network's study Using intelligent process automation to develop business resiliency as a combination of business process management (BPM) methodology and software, machine learning (ML), artificial intelligence (AI), data analytics, and process mining. When used in collaboration, these technologies enable firms to map and analyse internal processes to eliminate dependencies, discover process redundancies, and make educated judgments about activities that are to be automated in terms of operational efficiency and return on investment (ROI).

Although some of these components by themselves may not constitute an IA project, the combination of these technologies and approaches allows businesses to intelligently automate.
Robotic process automation (RPA) is the use of 'bots' to automate the completion of certain tedious or repetitive tasks, allowing people to focus on more time-consuming or difficult tasks. Other key advantages of RPA include the elimination of human mistakes, which minimises expenses related to rework or correction.
Artificial intelligence (AI) is the concept that machines and computers can 'think,' learning from their experiences and operating without being given explicit instructions.AI and machine learning work together to propel automation into a "new age" and ensure that it is intelligent. These technologies decrease the requirement for human intervention in tasks that have been designated for automation even further.
AI and ML can detect process exceptions and deviations, learn from them automatically, and make adjustments to improve process efficiency for future interactions. These technologies, when combined with RPA, can drastically reduce the time it takes to handle business documents.
BPM stands for business process management, and it has been a major topic in the process improvement world for a long time. BPM is a set of methods and techniques used to discover, model, analyse, measure, and optimise business processes across a variety of disciplines. When implemented appropriately, BPM projects can improve processes in terms of efficiency, efficacy, and technical ability.
