Fremont, CA: Creating a unified strategy is an important step in creating a customer experience (CX) that excites and engages customers. However, customer experiences executives continue to confront hurdles in making that vision a reality.
As previously reported, over 350 CX executives got gauge their readiness to meet – and surpass – current, and future customer experience demands. The analysis reveals that the following are the top concerns that CX leaders are dealing with.

- Lack of access to information
A customer experience plan must be data-driven to be effective. However, top CX executives believe that they lack critical information about their client base. 41 percent of study respondents do not believe they have access to all of the information required to properly understand their customers and, as a result, provide superior experiences.
- Understanding how to measure CX improvements
It's one thing to commit to improving how the organization handles CX, but there's no way to tell if any changes are beneficial if those gains can't get measured. 57 percent of respondents are unclear or lack sufficient understanding about what to measure to suggest that their customer experience strategy improves.
- Investments in CX happen too slowly.
Though executives realize the necessity of building customer experience strategies, they must still persuade their organizations' decision-makers to spend quickly enough to keep up with technology changes. The majority of respondents said their organizations were trailing, with just 13percent believing their companies were keeping up with developing and evolving technology.
- Adapting experiences to each customer's unique journey
Personalized experiences increase sales and inspire customers to create confidence in businesses, which leads to increased loyalty. However, 42 percent of respondents report being unable to tailor experiences to each consumer, with only 29 percent sure that they can.
