The Benefits of Automation and RPA

Automation is defining the phase of digital transformation by offering new levels of customer services with dependability, higher quality of dependability, personalization, faster delivery of products, and convenience offerings. According to a prediction by Forrester, automation will alter the workforce with augmenting employees. Also, Robotic Process Automation (RPA) is growing in a way that Gartner forecast that the RPA business will grow 57 percent in the coming year. Following are some of the predictions that stand out:

Artificial intelligence (AI) in RPA: The AI is the new trend that is changing the way of working of traditional technologies and RPA is the essential component of that change. RPA is merging with AI to deliver integrated business value and moving towards creating Intelligent Process Automation (IPA). 

Centralization: Automation centers of enterprises are bringing change management, unpredictability, control, auditing, and security issues together. They are raising governance concerns by making enterprises invest in central coordination through automation centers.

RPA in public sector: Automation and RPA are dominating in the public sector. Value of these technologies is realized by the governments and the techs are in the way of improving citizen-centric services.

Employee engagement: The inclusion of automation is increasing the need for adding employees to the RPA process. As many industries are embracing RPA into their on-going business processes the employee engagement is going to get new heights. 

Use of unstructured data: RPA products focus on unstructured data (images, emails) as information extraction from unstructured data sources gains an upper edge. RPA vendors deploy AI technologies to structure data and then robots automate the process to give an immediate return of investment.

Job market: Employment is having a great impact from automation technologies as many jobs are destroyed due to automation. But human and machines will collaborate in many workflows and create new jobs in the technology domain as designers, and RPA specialists.

Rise of Chatbots: Voice and chat-enabled products have become a norm into the industry. The rise of chatbots augments the use of cognitive knowledge engines. These engines aim to answers to clients and customers by focusing on the creation and maintenance of corporate memory.
