Telit Introduces a Fully eUICC Compliant SIM the NExTPlus

Telit NExTPlus eUICC SIM enables IoT users to securely move between global roaming & local MNO profiles over the air

Fremont, CA: Telit's suite of enterprise-grade wireless communication & positioning modules; cellular MVNO connection plans and management services; edge and cloud software; IoT and Industrial IoT platforms and data orchestration, facilitate connected 'things' onboarding. Telit has over two decades of leading IoT innovation experience provides award-winning, secure, integrated IoT solutions to many of the world's leading organizations, OEMs, system integrators, and service providers, enabling them to connect and manage IoT at any scale.

Telit recently unveiled NExTPlus, which adds multi-profile capabilities to its multi-IMSI capabilities with eUICC. The new service enables IoT users to move between global roaming & local MNO profiles using a single SIM card, allowing them to circumvent permanent roaming limits remotely and securely.

Telit's NExTPlus is adaptable thanks to the embedded Universal Integrated Circuit Card (eUICC) standard, allowing remote SIM provision with alternative network profiles.

eUICC enables connection providers to remotely communicate their most optimized SIM profile to devices, removing the requirement for physical access towards the deployed devices. As a result, the ability to handle the cellular connectivity component of IoT deployments at a scale significantly improves with the usage of a single worldwide SIM.

Telit NExTPlus provides genuine global coverage and the flexibility necessary to optimize coverage and prices across network technologies such as LTE-M, NB-IoT, VoLTE, and 5G. Telit customers deploying in the United States can also install a native local profile to avoid roaming concerns and improve service quality.

"Mobile networks around the world are announcing and implementing advancements as they cast away limitations from older generations of cellular service," said Tomer Lavie, Head of Connectivity Business Unit, Telit. "Multi-IMSI and eUICC technologies are some of the foundational factors that support our bold plans, strengthening Telit's position towards a true global SIM with no limits. Furthermore, Telit's future-proof solution ensures not only end-to-end compatibility between SIM, module, and cellular network, but also the ability to remotely and securely change the attributes and features of the SIM and module using our Connectivity Management Platform across mobile networks as they exist now and in the future."
