Meetings, especially pre-coronavirus ones, are unappealing. But being trapped on a Zoom call when people are talking over each other in the midst of rustling chip bags and crying toddlers is torture on earth.
FREMONT, CA: Following the COVID-19 outbreak, more people are working remotely than ever before. According to a recent survey, less than 40 percent of workers report that all or virtually all of their coworkers have returned to their workplace. Furthermore, employers anticipate having three times the number of remote workers after the epidemic as they did before.
Despite the benefits, remote work may be difficult — and transitioning to remote work fast during the pandemic proved much more difficult. The most common difficulties among new remote workers were technology challenges, followed by communication concerns and virtual meeting snafus.

Here are some tips for working better together while working remotely:
Upgrade Project-Management Software
When one's entire team was under one roof, an ungainly project-management software was fine. One could put up with the clunky interface, repeated or missing chores, and the fact that it never seemed to be in sync with what one was attempting to do. However, now that one is collaborating on projects remotely, one requires a more suited platform to one's requirements.
One can look for something that allows one to see the workload of one's entire team at a glance. Teamwork is a project-management software that lets one manage one's employees' capacity and projects, as well as reshuffle assignments with the click of a mouse. It includes a time-tracking tool, task lists, and billing and invoicing tools, allowing one's team to execute projects efficiently no matter how far away one is.
Make Ground Rules for Virtual Meetings
Meetings, especially pre-coronavirus ones, are unappealing. But being trapped on a Zoom call when people are talking over each other in the midst of rustling chip bags and crying toddlers is torture on earth.
A few simple ground rules might help make virtual meetings more fruitful. What is the first rule? Every meeting of three or more individuals should have a well-defined objective. Make a plan ahead of time, even if it's just a few bullet points. One could also request that one's team members silence themselves if they are not speaking in order to eliminate needless crosstalk. If interruptions from family members are a problem, consider scheduling meetings at a time that is more convenient for everyone.
