Infortrend Unveils its New Artificial Intelligence Storage Solution

FREMONT, CA: Artificial intelligence (AI) is predicted to be one of the most disruptive technologies in the future. The subsets of AI—machine learning (ML) and deep learning (DL) have helped in streamlining complex processes across various industrial sectors, and this, in turn, has created a demand for AI technology. Realizing the potential of AI, Infortrend, through its robust AI storage products and storage solutions, is vying to establish itself as a leading enterprise data storage solution provider. Recently, the company announced the release of EonStor GSi, a new generation of intelligent storage solution for AI-powered enterprises. The all-in-one box solution is designed to meet the demand in the digital market for effective AI storage solutions. GSi storage system is incorporated with graphics processing units (GPUs) and Docker platform that enables ML and DL capabilities. The ML and DL models of the GSi are designed to run AI applications such as Smart City and Smart Retail to assist the surveillance needs of the customers. The Eonstar GSi unit is powered by NVIDIA Tesla P4 GPU and DeepStram SDK.

The GSi storage system effectively meets the requirements of the healthcare industry. It comes with a picture archiving and communication (PACS) system which enables the AI applications to deliver prompt medical diagnostics. The GSi 5016 is powered by multiple GPUs and has a 5.4 GB reading and a 4.2 GB writing capacity. It also offers up to 436 hard drives, with a storage capacity of 7.6 billion computed tomography (CT) images.
GSi also offers effective storage management for film studios and video production houses in the media and entertainment industry. It facilitates extensive storage space for the management of media assets, and significant computing power for encoding and decoding video data.
