London - BSO, the global pioneering infrastructure and connectivity provider has obtained the ISO 27001 certification. This certification has been delivered by Bureau Veritas Certification, the world leader in certification.
For BSO, ISO 27001 marks a new step in its global certification process. After obtaining ISO 9001 certification (quality management), ISO 27001 was the logical next step to pursue its mission of reinforcing the quality of its services by guaranteeing a high level of security for the data and IT assets of its clients.

Indeed, with the multiplication and diversification of cyber threats, ensuring the protection of the security of its client's information and data is more than a prerequisite for IT infrastructure providers. This means ensuring the confidentiality, security and availability of IT systems and the data stored on the infrastructures they provide, which are often mission-critical for its clients.
"Our certification journey is guided by our customer's requirements for quality, security and performance guarantees", says Michael Ourabah, CEO of BSO, “We are happy to be able to offer our clients high-performance and high-availability services while guaranteeing them a high level of protection and security for their data with ISO 27001 certification.”
The scope of this certification extends to all products and services offered by BSO: network solutions (private network, remote peering, IP transit,...), cloud solutions, hosting, managed services and SDN platform.
The ISO 27001 certification is the international reference standard for implementing an "Information Security Management System" or ISMS. It certifies that BSO implements the best practices in terms of information security. It guarantees that the processes deployed within BSO's activities comply with the standards and requirements concerning governance, data protection and the security of IT assets.
In short, the ISO 27001 certification gives the ability to:
• Identify and control the risks of IT failures, thanks to an efficient ISMS audited by Bureau Veritas experts;
• Meet the legal and regulatory requirements of an internationally recognised standard;
• Base risk management decisions on the company's strategic objectives and ensure a high level of information security;
• Focus on critical/sensitive information, regardless of its form: digital, paper, video, or audio.
Michael Ourabah, CEO of BSO, highlights the importance of this certification: "In the field of information security, the ISO 27001 standard is the most relevant certification and is widely recognised. It ensures and certifies the robustness and resilience of our information systems security management processes, the reliability of the company's information systems and the protection of data.”
The certification is issued for a period of three years and a surveillance audit is planned every year.
