Business and IT executives were looking at cloud as a mere tool, and now they are strategizing their goals by exploring new ways of making virtual infrastructure. Cloud computing has emerged from personal storage to a level where entire organizations can store complete data and compute requirements to enterprises.
Cloud Security: It wouldn’t be a surprise to see that cloud security will continue to rise high, as the major cyber attacks portray the importance of security. To prevent cyber attacks in public, private, and government sectors, enterprises are highly investing in malware detection, security information, and event management systems. By providing high security and strategies, there are some challenges like breaching response, processing of personal data, data ownership, and risk management that need to be overcome.
Increasing Usage of Containers: Containers can create complete, working environments that run on any system. The only challenge is that, as it requires a good amount of experience with clouds and platforms, care should be taken while re-architecting the systems.
Moving towards Microservices: Cloud architecture has moved from monolithic applications to more open services which don’t require human UIs. The usage of Application Programming Interface (API) and microservices has helped the partners and customers to leverage the machine interfaces and drive their own digital transformations.
Cloud as an IoT Facilitator: There is a rapid transformation in the way people interact, operate, and do businesses. The usage of smartphones has extended to control systems but is not limited to accessing internet or purchasing products online, for example, IoT. Cloud-Based personal storage would be required to facilitate the storage facility for the file created.
Furthermore, the use of the cloud will be employed more to provide high performance and automation to existing systems. Organizations have to participate actively in cloud technology adoption, development, and security.
