Customer expectations were already changing before COVID-19, but the pandemic has amplified them and accelerated new expectations
FREMONT, CA: Skills and training, and Employee Motivation were the impediments to a successful customer experience program. Employee experience and customer experience are interdependent as there is no customer experience without any employees. The organization must make sure that the teams get a great experience at work and also provide access to the tools required for their jobs to mitigate employee churn and eschew loss of intellectual capital.
When employees are interviewed, they believe that the whole process is broken, the policies are outdated and they are not provided with the right tools needed to serve them the way they deserve to be served. But the question arises as to, what are tools required to obtain a great customer experience.

To start with, understand your employees well. Before the tools and training are offered, find out what they know about customers and the customer experience. This will ultimately lead to a better employee experience.
86 percent of the employees' opinion that job training is crucial to them and 74 percent are ready to get trained outside of office hours to enhance their performance. Employee training results in more confident teams and improved customer service. Additionally, the belief shown in them, stimulates them, resulting in better output.
People get motivated in different ways, hence motivation can seem a daunting task. Companies must understand the various factors that drive each employee. Though asking them directly is the only way to find out, some people may be hesitant to share that information with others face to face. Conducting a poll or organizing brainstorming sessions where employees may submit ideas for the group to vote on might also work.
Company culture is another prerequisite for customer experience. Culture forms the foundation of the business and the customer experience along with leadership commitment and employee experience.
With the help of several department heads, it is highly advisable to brainstorm the desirable actions related to each value. This includes actions that are consistent with the value's goal, behaviours that make you proud to work for the organisation, and behaviours that are purposefully aligned with the culture you are creating. A list of behaviours that are not permissible for further clarity due to this core principle can also be added.
