Chatbots to Provide Final Solution against Customer Issues

By CIO Applications Europe| Tuesday, July 09, 2019
Tweet

Chatbots Businesses dealing with tracking, logistics, customer issues, and product queries require the application of Chatbots for the smooth running of operations. Although chatbots are not new to the market, constant updates are required as humanity faces new technological challenges each day.

FREMONT, CA: Chatbots are not new in the technological scenario, and they are becoming smarter than their predecessors each day. The primary reason behind chatbots being intelligent is the dawn of a new age AI augmentation as well as technological developments by other AI-driven organizations. At present, chatbots cannot resolve complex situations without the intervention of human intelligence, but there will soon be a day when users will not be able to differentiate between a chatbot and human conversation.

Role of Chatbots in Modern Society:

Chatbots were implemented to reinvent methods in which business corporations interact with their customers and resolve issues. In earlier days, BPOs were teeming with customer calls that resulted in failures to attend to all customer queries. As a result, the brand value used to decline at an alarming rate. Machine learning (ML) consulting firms hatched the idea of automating the whole customer care process using chatbots. Chatbots now assist users in resolving issues at high speeds, which give the organization time and attention to focus on other concerns.

Chatbot Categories:

1. Rule-Based Chatbots:

It is a primitive type of chatbot that is very explicit regarding its usefulness. It answers queries and takes the necessary actions as per the codes put into it. While working with rule-based chatbots, customers need to keep in mind that any questions must be direct and straightforward.

Furthermore, the answers are much common as compared to those from AI-based chatbots. A company can create rule-based chatbots either with simple or complex codes. But the bot will not answer to queries outside its coded protocol.

2. AI Chatbots:

In comparison with rule-based chatbots, AI chatbots provide human-like responses to the issues asked. They provide specific answers to individual problems by adapting to regular updates from ML engines, and they get better with more usage.
