Using case studies to showcase the effectiveness of Digital Process Automations in the systems that govern businesses and organizations.
FREMONT, CA: Digital Process Automation (DPA) is widely regarded by many professionals as the newly evolved version of business process management (BPM). Focusing on digital technologies, the EU has launched several successful applications to automate and revamp its core features and enhance user experiences using DPA in its operations. With several successful applications from organisations across the globe in the last few years, DPA has solidified its position as a highly effiicient concept. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, a UK-based multinational telecommunications company known as BT was facing a crisis, regarding an overload of customer calls. Along with low workforce levels, this caused operational efficiency issues that affected BT’s quality of service. Once the DPA was integrated into the engineer's booking process, it simplified the overall system and reduced customer call center traffic by 32 percent.
One of the biggest implementations of DPA was in the financial space. A world-renowned mortgage service provider consisting of more than 6000 employees used it to achieve its goals. The company's main goal was to achieve 100 percent automation of its mortgage quality assurance system, which would determine mortgage statuses and identify bad mortgages. User-friendly tools such as the real-time key performance indicator (KPI) provide a 360-degree view of customer data across the mortgage review process. The company has gathered over 10,000 automated data points to identify bad loans and has reduced overall turnaround time by nearly 90 percent, reducing the process from two months to less than a week.
