With the growth of agile methodologies in the software development process, there is a higher scope for further development of agile in the future.

FREMONT, CA: Agile has become a methodology that benefits software development processes. It is due to the various advantages that agile technology provides, such as planning, implementing, testing, and reviewing the software for further development. Agile also is highly efficient and flexible, enabling continuous delivery with short-term development. Using such methodologies generates higher scope for rectification in a cross-functional team environment. Therefore, Agile methodology is enabling an immense evolution and prevailing across multiple industries. It has also dominated businesses by sustaining and enhancing the technological arena over some time. Here are a few prominent trends in agile methodology that will be flourishing in the technological and business fields.

Agile tools with Simpler tools:

As there are broader advantages to the agile methodology, companies are seeking agile tools that have user-friendly interfaces. Earlier, the methodology only required knowledge and experience, but now there is a need for developing tools that can solve issues such as Kanban boards, and task backlogs, and enhance project operations.

Rise of Integrating Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) in Agile:

AI and ML have become an inevitable part of Agile today. Since Agile is predominantly used in the software development process, including AI and ML in the methodology would certainly enhance the production and result in faster and better processing of the applications. AI and ML will help in tracking and eliminating bugs during code evaluation and can provide predictions and solutions for the issues. Integrating these technologies would be innovative, focusing on the further evolution of agile methodologies.

Combination of  Agile and DevOps:

DevOps enhances products at a faster pace using software development and management processes. It combines software development and IT operations. DevOps helps in providing high software quality, and agile software development brings continuous delivery. For organisations, the practice has become very important to achieve their goals. Therefore, combining these two integral methodologies will reduce software complexities and render high-quality products within a short period of time.

Rise of the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe):

At an enterprise scale, a scaled agile framework plays the role of maintaining workflow patterns for implementing agile practices. SAFe has been followed by numerous organisations, which identify the framework as a beneficial technique to follow, as stated by the Annual State of Agile survey. The framework not just focuses on team-level productivity but also an organisational level. Therefore, SAFe is a useful tool for development scale.

With the growth of agile methodology in software development sectors, it is no longer just confined to software development but has larger applications in business. It can result in a change of attitude towards the working patterns by focusing on faster results through planning, improving, setting objectives, and changing according to the reviews. Thus, it is one of the most effective methods that also possesses the possibility of evolving.
