In today's world, the requirement for both comprehensive data protection and cybersecurity has become paramount. Businesses rely on the ongoing availability and integrity of their data, while individuals worldwide send and receive significant amounts of sensitive data over remote connections. In response, cybercriminals have increased the volume and sophistication of their attacks — and with advancements in threat automation, no one is "too small to target."
However, Recognizing the growing data protection issues, Acronis has been expanding its solutions to address the most recent challenges since 2017. When ransomware attacks began directly targeting file backups, the firm was the first to include anti-ransomware defenses into a personal backup system. Acronis continued to broaden its cybersecurity focus in 2021, introducing technologies such as threat-agnostic anti-malware, cryptojacking prevention, and web blocking. The solution grew from a backup solution to a comprehensive personal cyber security solution that protects backups and gadgets.
Acronis' success with these efforts has not been ignored, with PCWorld and PCMag awarding it Editor's Choice. According to PCWorld, it is "an all-encompassing tragedy-prevention solution." According to AV-TEST, an independent security research lab, the integration of data backup and sophisticated cybersecurity successfully detected and blocked 100 percent of cyberattacks.
Protection for everybody
Acronis Cyber Protect Home Office (previously Acronis True Image) includes a range of features to combat modern cyberthreats and provide comprehensive data security. The unique integration of cybersecurity and backup into a single solution simplifies and lowers the cost of protection and offers sophisticated features that standalone systems cannot, such as automatic data restoration after a ransomware attack.
"The past two years have changed the industry landscape for good, no user is too small to be targeted anymore," said Candid Wuest, Acronis VP of Cyber Protection Research. "The unique quality of our corporate solutions is the integrated cyber protection – combining cybersecurity and backup is the only way to keep your critical data truly protected. Now we offer Acronis Cyber Protect Home Office – to protect every individual and home office, and keep the world going despite the challenges of the remote work and distributed IT infrastructure."
