AXA Venture Partners Obtains €200M at First Close of Second Vintage Diversified Fund
Fremont, CA: AXA Venture Partners, an investment firm focused on high-growth venture technology companies, completes a €200m round of initial closing of AVP Diversified II, the second vintage of AVP Fund of Fund's strategy.
The capital firm investing in high-growth technology, AXA's fundraiser, generated interest from the majority of its existing and several new investors. The final closing of the fund is expected to occur before the end of 2020, with a goal of €250m.

Similarly, AVP Diversified I and AVP Diversified II will continue to concentrate on critical geographies, such as both the coasts in the United States, Europe, Israël, and Asia, with a specific interest on China.
In terms of the opportunities it provides, the fund may also be invested in those finances that are established in other emerging sectors globally. AXA's Team aims to support in seed rounds, early stages, and growth-stage topping zones like Paris – London – New York – San Francisco – Hong Kong tier tech-focused funds. The company will also invest in secondary and backup opportunities.
Dominic Maier will lead an experienced team, which will continue to manage AVP Diversified II. Dominic was promoted as the Partner of AVP during the occasion of the launch of AVP Diversified II and will be supported by the teams in London, Paris, and Hong Kong.
Maier served as the Vice President at Adams Street Partners in the Global Primary Investment team based in London Before joining AVP in 2017. Dominic gained extensive knowledge and experience evaluating funds varying from technology and life sciences venture capital, growth capital and buyout funds, along with monitoring investments as a part of the member of Advisory Boards. Before serving as the Vice President, Maier worked at EY in its Financial Services Business Modelling team, where he was assigned to work on transactions in the banking and asset management sub-sectors.
AVP Diversified I, a €150 million vehicle raised in 2017, has now been deployed.
