Technologists took years to collect data sets large enough to merit HPC, but not any longer. The evolution of the internet, WiFi, and mobile devices are providing more connectivity and generating massive amounts of data. With this, the opportunity to spend more time refining the data and extracting insights from it increases, for which high-performance computing is the key.
