The idea of this service is allowing manufacturers to rent robots for a low cost instead of buying them entirely so that they can utilize robots efficiently and quickly into their workforce without going over their budget. Other companies provide modular solutions to manufacturers, which enables them to spend only what they need.
The safety concern for workers when working with robots is an important issue, and as such fenced robotics are mostly separated from workers.
Robotics industry provides the solution with collaborative robots equipped with an array of safety features such as:
• Hand guiding – it can know when a person is in contact with the robot for guidance and training.
• Stopped state monitoring – This solution can stop working when a worker enters a specific area and resume working when the worker leaves.
• Power and force limiting – This solution has sensors and technology that limit the amount of force applied, including mechanical solutions, electrical ones, and elastic actuators.
• Speed and separation monitoring – It slows down or stops according to the worker's distance.
