"Business, creativity, trends, innovation, experimentation and in-depth analysis were the key words that distinguished this year’s Viscom Italia edition," comments Cecilia Montalbetti, Viscom Italia Exhibition Manager, "making it an unmissable opportunity for all operators and an important moment to discuss how and where the profession is heading and all the dynamics taking place within the sector. The sector’s vitality buzz was also felt amongst the stands, where we received very positive comments from exhibitors."
This year’s events provided a specialized training environment to build up industry sector related know-how, a wealth of networking opportunity as well as the chance to seize business opportunities with the aid of new technology demonstrations.
9 workshops, with more than 20 speakers and 370 professionals helped make the vibrant Viscom Talks a success. The spotlight was placed on a variety of topics specifically related to sustainability applied to design, fashion, and packaging as well as discussing NFTs, augmented reality, and visual merchandising - directly comparing experiences and ideas.
Highly appreciated was fair newcomer "A la carte creativity” – which put on display 5 paper manufacturers and distributors together with the creative flair of 6 designers, illustrators, graphic designers and artists. A three-day event that explored the boundaries of visual communications starting from shapes to colours, textures to sustainable features where artists and designers brought to life their creations. Gold sponsor: Comieco. Coordinating designer: Francesco Dondina, visual designer, lecturer and curator.
Once again the "Together against hunger" project helping a local food bank charity Banco Alimentare of Lombardy was enthusiastically supported. Throughout the entire event, exhibitors and visitors were warmly invited to participate in "Together against hunger". 1 euro from each sandwich and/or lunch box purchased at any one of the restaurants in halls 8/12 was donated to the charity. Everybody’s contribution helped raise and enabled its partner charities to distribute an equivalent of 18,288 meals to families and needy people in Milan.
