Manwinwin Softwre
The Go-To Partner for Maintenance Management

It was 38 years ago, when two naval engineers founded an organization specializing in marine surveying and ship consultancy and realized a lack of preventive maintenance in ships causing failures and massive costs with repairs.

This led the duo to create a new business within the firm to offer a wide range of expert technical services for managing preventive maintenance in ships and the naval industry. After realizing the opportunity to increase efficiency and drastically reduce costs in ship maintenance management, they extended its scope into other sectors where maintaining assets was critical—be it for efficiency reasons, maintenance cost control, or general safety of the facilities and the people working. The asset management firm, which is recognized as ManWinWin Software and institutionally known as Navaltik Management Ltd, specializes in the development and implementation of its computerized maintenance management software (CMMS). Dubbed ManWinWin, this CMMS caters to businesses across numerous domains including manufacturing plants, buildings, hospitals, hotels and transport and logistics companies. It is a flexible, cost-effective, easy-to-implement and simple-to-use solution for maintenance management and organization of assets. “We instituted ManWinWin Software in 1981 to enhance one of our biggest competitive advantages—the know-how and the experience we have in maintenance management,” begins Rodrigo Seruya Cabral, managing director of the Portugal-headquartered company. Today, prominent companies from more than 76 countries including General Electric, Essilor, Bosch Systems, Four Seasons and Danone use ManWinWin as their “go-to” maintenance management system for daily operations.

The client wins because they are satisfied with a software company that attends to their suggestions and we win because we have satisfied clients

According to Cabral, one of the biggest challenges in the maintenance of assets is the people responsible for managing it. In many firms, the maintenance staff are not tech savvy, some are not even qualified and many see CMMS solutions as an additional burden or workload and resist the change. This is where ManWinWin Software’s user-friendly maintenance management solution begs to differ. By offering a variety of simple work-order management interfaces such as maintenance planning, practical scheduling of work orders, easy maintenance time management, and real-time control of planned costs versus real costs of maintenance work, the software makes it easy for the technicians to carry out maintenance operations. “The work orders are displayed on a calendar as drag-and-drop tasks, and the system can collect data on asset availability, downtime, and maintenance costs to generate useful reports,” explains Cabral.

Contrary to most CMMS, ManWinWin has an interface that can be used in 16 different languages without exiting the application, a more intelligent and flexible configuration to meet the needs of each client and the ability to print and export all information to Excel, PDF and other formats. Another aspect that truly differentiates the company from the rest is their “Win-Win” value proposition. “In order to enhance and enrich our CMMS’s capabilities, we take suggestions from our clients, develop new features and functionalities and implement it in our solution,” asserts Cabral. “This way, the client wins because they are satisfied with a software company that attends to their suggestions and we win because we have satisfied clients that use ManWinWin for an average of 12 to 14 years.”

Led by a strong, cohesive and highly collaborative team, ManWinWin Software has its eye on the prize, which is to become the leading provider of maintenance management software in the world. In addition to Portuguese-speaking markets like Brazil, Angola and Mozambique, the firm also has a growing foothold in regions like Eastern Europe, the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) and Southeast Asia. Their immediate challenges are to enhance the current software and align its functionalities and features with what the user wants to do with it, yet keeping the system’s unique ‘user-friendliness.’ “We will also continue to develop new solutions that are both simple and have advanced functionalities,” wraps up Cabral.
