AurelienRigault, Co-Founder & CEOEnter Innovative Legal Open Host (ILOH). The company has analysed the documentation processes in law firms to develop a solution—Dynamic Smart Clause—with legal professionals for legal professionals. “Our solution immediately boosts the processes in legal firms and saves significant time to be more proactive on the counselling aspect of the job. Keeping flexibility and simplicity in mind, we have designed an easy, hands-on solution to make legal professionals more efficient in managing their legal base, allowing them to smoothly capitalise on their experience as time goes,” says Aurélien Rigault, Cofounder & CEO, ILOH. The company is geared towards helping corporate counsels regain a primary role in counselling the teams regarding a project or a strategy rather than merely providing documents and contracts. To that end, the company has opted a pedagogical approach of Q&As for non-legal persons to compose the necessary frequent contracts themselves (commercial, HR, real estate, etc.) yet still ask the legal department to review and validate before sending out. At the core, ILOH is leveraging Augmented Intelligence to automate the legal content integration phase and enable pre-generating documents that are ready for signature in cases of renewal.
“Our approach is different from competitors as we do not work with templates or complete documents that we integrate with the solution.
Keeping flexibility and simplicity in mind, we have designed an easy, hands-on solution to make legal professionals more efficient in managing their legal base and generating contracts
With our Dynamic Smart Clause solution combined with the Q&A approach, users can write a document by thinking about all the parameters of the situation rather than where the right clause is or if they once used a format or somebody else did,” explains Rigault. “Everybody can write a legal document having the security of updated content as well as legal counsel validation. It also allows the legal department to review all the documents, which is generally impossible in firms of a certain size.”
A 100 percent customer-centric and multi-language capable solution, Dynamic Smart Clause ensures that all the users have updated content of all kinds. The platform helps the organisations to save up to 70 percent of the time that was previously consumed to generate a document. What makes ILOH second to none is its ability to use the flexibility of the clause that gains time in updating the content, whereby all documents using this clause are automatically up-to-date. Besides, ILOH is highly user-friendly and collaborates with clients on the content integration phase, supporting them in inserting their entire library and structuring the content in a simplified fashion. The easy-to-use platform from ILOH allows non-technical users to implement it seamlessly within a few hours. That’s not all; ILOH’s solution has been developed to allow users to be fully independent in using the solution. It can be integrated seamlessly with CRM, storage, and other solutions.
To highlight the efficacy of ILOH’s solution, Rigault cites a case scenario where they helped an organisation’s legal department that was struggling to support all their teams. The organisation was working with pre-built templates which were the same for all the departments but soon noticed that it was difficult to follow up. “The organisation was large and didn’t have enough counsels to review all contracts, which led to contract mitigation implication. Secondly, the content would not be secured and locked, enabling workers to play around with the content by adding and deleting the clauses requiring way more time for review,” he adds. But with ILOH’s integration, users can no longer modify content and require validation to download and send out the contract.
ILOH looks forward to fundraising in the next few months to grow their team. Moving forward, the company has set its sights on two milestones—one, to automate the integration of legal contents and also enable AI to allow customers to integrate the maximum volume of data. Second, to add contract management aspects that primarily focus on the document generation process. Besides geographical expansion, ILOH has also signed a partnership with a French law firm so that they can offer online legal documentation. “There are similar solutions in the market, but the content behind them is very limited and generally not directly suitable for a situation. To provide quality and sectorized content, we are partnering with only one law firm per country. We don’t want users to just download any legal documentation; we want them to work hand in hand with their lawyers as if they were part of their team, thanks to technology,” Rigault adds.
