“Besides the existing Ethereum specification, called Solidity, Ignite has already adopted a more recent DAG chain implementation, Byteball, which features simplified and less hack-prone smart contract definitions”, explains Yary Ribero, Blockchain Tech Lead at Ignite. Byteball is already establishing a foothold in Estonia in cooperation with Ignite: citizens are entitled to claim 10 dollar worth of funds to educate themselves on cryptocurrencies.

Apart from solutions described above, Ignite has designed a state-of-the-art recruitment tool named Recrur, in cooperation with HR managers and recruiters. Valuable experience of handling the most sensitive data was obtained also by rebuilding Estonian e-Health Patient Portal.

During the development of such tools there has clearly emerged the idea for managing their processes using public blockchains. “In both cases we are dealing with personal information that must remain both private but accessible and verifiable by those who need to deal with patients or job candidates. No more perfect match could be found for a blockchain solution. Hopefully there will be an opportunity to take further steps from that idea” adds Yary Ribero.

Ignite has assisted customers in various industries including finance, telecommunication, logistics, energy and transportation management in creating reliable software. Expounding on the capabilities of Ignite’s Blockchain-based solutions, Pihor cites a scenario where an organization was looking to crowd-fund newly developed software using a digital currency for that. This is very common use case for cryptocurrencies today.
