As an intelligence and risk management company, IFI Advisory specialises in reputational and non-compliance risk management, covering four sectors— travel management, compliance management, corporate intelligence and security governance. The company’s services are designed to protect both tangible and intangible assets. IFI Advisory holds strategic partnerships with international players to ensure the physical security of assets, people and intelligence activities. Its services ensure compliance with international best practices and, in particular, with Italian sector regulations, which are among the tightest globally.

“The current global security environment requires that organisations reconsider their approach to protect people and strategic assets. In addition to mitigating the likelihood and impact of adverse events, the aim is also to legally protect companies and their management. The holistic approach of IFI Advisory is to represent the real added value of our mission, taking care of the complete lifecycle of risk,” says Umberto Saccone, chairman of the company.

In Italy, the "duty of care" legislation entails an obligation for employers to protect their people from those risks that are not directly associated with the production processes, especially in the countries affected by endemic security risks.

The holistic approach of IFI Advisory to that represents the real added value of our mission, taking care of the complete lifecycle of risk

To meet the need for monitoring threats, assessing risks to personnel and assets, and relying on adequate mitigation plans, IFI Advisory has developed the Dashboard Enterprise Risk Management platform (DERM). As IFI Advisory’s proprietary and patented command and control platform, DERM finds its guiding principle in the Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) framework. The platform enables customers to assess socio-political risks affecting countries or part of them, ensure compliance with the current regulations, and protect material assets and expatriate and travelling staff. The platform allows real-time monitoring of security events, assessment of threats and identification of associated risks affecting a given country or part of it, and identification of vulnerabilities in asset protection systems. DERM consists of synergetic networkable modules assisting in the drawing up of the Security Risk Assessment Document pursuant to Italian Legislative Decree 81/2008 (the Consolidated text on security).

The platform also supports security governance activities, aimed at assisting companies in defining hierarchical internal policies and responsibilities to ultimately enhance their security systems. DERM disseminates information to travelling staff with "country briefings" updated in real-time, travel registration services, proactive movement tracking and 24/7 warnings with a view to anticipating potential disruptions and threats.

On the other hand, compliance management and corporate intelligence services ensure the protection of intangible company assets and make companies compliant with the current legislation. One of the key factors in managing assets is safeguarding reputation and integrity. IFI Advisory's Integrity Due Diligence solution looks into the reputation of business counterparts based on both open sources and investigations. The due diligence reports help customers define the level of risk associated with each counterpart—or customer—and become aware of any detrimental factors potentially damaging corporate reputation and, possibly, causing economic damage. The ability to analyse information and to produce evidence makes IFI Advisory a versatile partner extending its range of services to Asset Tracing and Litigation Support too. As for Asset Tracing, if client assets are improperly acquired and concealed, IFI Advisory’s information collection approach is effective and not detrimental to privacy, and can be used in court. Litigation Support activities assist defence teams in pre-litigation, litigation and out-of-court cases.
