The One-Stop-Shop for Asset Management

Milan-based GGnet has excelled at providing asset and facility management services to SMBs and enterprises. Leveraging its applied methodology and proprietary software, the company helps clients have an ever-updated balance sheet in a time- and cost-effective way, allowing businesses to focus on their core activities. “As opposed to the conventional method of recording basic assets, we make a careful “photography” of a company’s capital goods and assets. This allows us to suggest solutions for problems or needs, which the company is not fully aware of,” says Alessandro Muzio, the founder and CEO at GGnet.

Being in the asset management space for the last 30 years and serving entities from multiple sectors (ranging from large production multinationals and local health care companies), GGnet has developed transversal skills. This makes them the go-to partner for clients with diverse asset management needs. To illustrate, the company makes sure that assets are always tracked, under control, subject to periodic maintenance, and scheduled checks for keeping them in perfect working order. GGnet also manages asset disposal, sale or scrapping if an asset is no longer needed, or broken, by performing the necessary physical-accounting reconciliation with the asset book. “Outsourcing the asset management tasks to a plethora of companies is costly, and the outcomes are not always satisfactory. GGnet is heading in the direction of becoming a facility management partner, which can provide clients with all the necessary services.
This is against a market trend towards monothematic and vertical-specific partners,” Muzio notes. Further, GGnet’s proprietary software easily interfaces with any ERP system, meaning that clients can have all the necessary information at their fingertips in digital format—at all times.

GGnet’s asset management method includes four fundamental steps. First, the company analyzes its clients’ existing asset books to understand if all the details have been rightly put and shares its outcome during their preliminary meeting. The next step is strategization, where the company’s efficient team draws the trajectory for rightly managing the tangible and intangible assets. They do so by focusing on database structuring, necessary equipment identification, and label printing for the inventory. The third step or the operational phase is meant for the identification and labeling of each individual asset. In the last stage, the company carries out methodical and punctual management of tangible assets and offers necessary services.

We continuously study the market to understand what companies and key professionals need and evaluate different methods. This analytical approach always keeps us a notch above the rest

With such a unique approach, GGnet has made a longstanding relationship with many clients while managing more than 10 million assets. In one instance, a hospital in the province of Rome needed to verify the actual number of machinery and equipment that they were buying. Working in liaison with the client, GGnet checked the physical and functional state of the equipment and machinery and provided the hospital with detailed information. As such, the client witnessed a 46 percent reduction in the amount requested, which amounted to more than two million Euros.

Such unique instances of client success always drive GGnet to further hone its capabilities. Even within these unforeseen challenges that the COVID-19 has brought, GGnet has found an effective way to serve its clients. Positioning itself as the leader of the facility management business, the company has formed a network of companies, Kikkar (a Jewish term meaning “ring”), with the best Italian talent and specialized companies to represent the circularity of services. “The asset management space is evolving rapidly. A solution or a service that today may seem optimal could be outdated or less efficient tomorrow. We continuously study the market to understand what companies and key professionals need and evaluate different methods. This analytical approach always keeps us a notch above the rest,” concludes Muzio.
