The technological advancements taking place in the automotive industry is accelerating at a pace that rivals a Porsche GT3 speeding down the Nürburgring in Germany. Further, the automotive industry is witnessing a paradigm shift and becoming more software-oriented in order to provide consumers with the convenience of connected technologies. This digitisation of vehicles has necessitated the hybridisation of the classical ‘embedded’ world with the IT world—resulting in the development of a new generation of electronic control units (ECU) that improve the overall automotive user experience. Starting with a simple sales call to an automotive company, Nolle and his team delve into a client’s software development workflow and offer a new level of expertise. “We have a team of experienced individuals— embedded experts—dedicated to the industry which enables us to deliver top-notch services,” explains Nolle. Eeins gathers information and requirements directly from the original equipment manufacturer (OEM) and configures, for example, the complete AUTOSAR-Stack, an automotive open systems architecture and integrates new software into a client’s ECU.

To elucidate Eeins’ expertise, Nolle brings forth a case study where a client entrusted them to manage the AUTOSAR-Basis software development, including the diagnostics, network management, and Flash bootloader for a battery management system. After running a thorough analysis, Eeins’ team found that the existing software was unable to fulfil the performance and safety requirements. Eeins reworked the architecture and closed the pre-existing process gaps in the development process according to Automotive SPICE Standard; they were not only able to meet the client’s expectations but also achieve a series clearance of ASIL-C software. Eeins was able to steer the entire project successfully and add value to it.

Moving forward, the company intends to strengthen their focus on the ongoing global digitisation through the recently founded Eeins Data Technologies.
