End-to-End Data Analytics Services

CIO VendorPasquale Grippo, CEO
Founded with a focus on providing services based on technologies such as big data, machine learning, as well as data science and analytics, Data Insights is an IT consulting company that uses a unique management approach. Unlike the traditional organizational hierarchy, Management 3.0 promotes a paradigm shift where every employee is available and equipped to support customer’s end-to-end requirements. Data Insights’ approach proves useful for organizations that are battling extensive resources and time requirements to build data or data-driven products using the available data sets.

The company addresses the prevalent lacuna in the industry where the importance of data exploration is often neglected. Due to the lack of data exploration, the solution providers are unaware of the complexity of the data set and are unable to predict the result that their solution would provide. As a young firm that understands this shortcoming, “Data Insights helps organizations derive value from their historical and real-time data,” says Pasquale Grippo, CEO at Data Insights. “We also enable them with a bird’s eye view of the data product lifecycle from data exploration through product development with a focus on assessing the feasibility of the business use case.” The IT consultant serves top German companies in their data strategies through its technological knowledge, subject matter expertise, and partnership with companies such as Ab Initio, AWS, Cloudera, and Confluent.
Organizations struggle to strike a balance between innovation and production in pursuit of an efficient data analytics platform. On the innovation front, the data scientists at Data Insights use technical and case-specific expertise to extract the value that lies hidden within the client’s data. Similarly, the company’s machine learning and deep learning experts automate mathematical algorithms and deep learning layers. Through the combined efforts of these teams, Data Insights uses datasets to create valuable information and an innovation-driven platform.

We enable clients with a bird’s eye view of the data product lifecycle from data exploration through product development with a focus on assessing the feasibility of the business use case

From the production standpoint, data engineers leverage open source software such as Hadoop Ecosystem and Kafka to implement the data product. This expertise proves effective particularly for manufacturers who aim to adopt a data-driven approach since data engineers make it possible to extract, explore, and utilize their data. Prior to production, the Data Insights team performs data visualization to explore the data and enhance its resourcefulness. On the other hand, the company’s developers and certified Scrum masters carry out product development.

One of the key differentiators of Data Insights comes from its partnership with Ab Initio, whose flagship product makes it possible to handle high-volume data processing applications and enterprise application data integration. Data Insights uses Agile methodology and Scrum to ensure a fast and effective solution development, which is tested at each stage.

Data Insights’ services can be understood better through the services offered to its customers. One such customer was a German bank who approached Data Insights for compliance assistance. Using a solution built on Ab Initio, the bank was able to stay aligned with Germany’s financial regulatory authority—BaFin. In another case study, the IT consultancy helped an organization from the energy industry to put its historic data to good use. The client who had high power transmission cables was able to use the data pertaining to the cable material to understand the degradation process, supporting proactive maintenance and cost efficiency.

Grippo highlights his strategy to spread the value and efficiency of its boutique of data professionals by broadening the versatility of the team. Also, he envisions a better reach in German markets to become one of the top big data service providers, before spreading wings into the European Union.
