The Salesforce Visionary

Businesses typically utilize Salesforce to augment the capabilities of their support, sales, and marketing teams. However, the creation and management of the associated documents often take place in a scattered IT landscape. As a result, documents are stored in different systems and are not centrally available to all employees. This adversely impacts business-relevant processes.

To address this challenge of distributed data pools, d.velop has developed an outstanding integration capability of its ECM functionalities in third-party systems, especially for Salesforce. This integration capability is also confirmed by Gartner, which positioned d.velop as a “Visionary” in the Gartner Magic Quadrant for Content Services Platforms 2021.

“Through the partnership with Salesforce, we were able to bring 30 years of perfected ECM capabilities into the Salesforce ecosystem via deep integration,” says Sebastian Evers, Co-CEO, d.velop.

d.velop is able to provide its customers with all the necessary data for everyday business in the services used with “d.velop documents”. Clients can access it directly in Salesforce without having to leave the familiar interface. Thus, working without media discontinuity up to the digital signature by means of d.velop sign is possible from one source.
Sales and marketing teams, in particular, need many documents for their daily work beyond the pure master data of the customers, such as offers, price indications, NDAs, marketing campaign documents or contracts. These documents must be available in the most current version, ideally audit-proof and long-term-stable. “d.velop documents for Salesforce” provides all this data and makes it possible to start workflows or digital signature cycles directly from Salesforce. This ultimately increases efficiency and gives sales staff more time to work with customers instead of handling time-consuming administrative processes.

In general, d.velop’s SaaS products are always designed for self-service. However, they also support customers with free admin training and an installation wizard and with experienced consultants during the setup of the system, if desired.

Through the partnership with Salesforce, we were able to bring 30 years of perfected ECM capabilities into the Salesforce ecosystem via deep integration

For example, one of d.velop’s customers is active in the field of damage repair for industrial machinery and uses the Salesforce Service Cloud. With the help of d.velop documents, it was possible to provide the field service with all necessary construction plans, error descriptions, and damage reports directly in the case. This made work easier and clearer for the service technicians and saved a lot of time. In addition, purely digital work has also massively reduced paper consumption for employees on the road in terms of sustainability.

One of the most important features of the d.velop software is the flexibility when it comes to the way of deployment. Customers can decide whether to rely on d.velop documents natively from the cloud when integrating with, for example, Salesforce, or choose a classic on-premises solution for regulated industries or the public sector. Hybrid operation is also easily possible via a sophisticated connector.

This is how d.velop supplies end-to-end digitization of business processes and industry-specific procedures and, together with a network of hundreds of partners, advises companies on all digitization issues. d.velop’s digital services connect people with each other, as well as simplify and retool workflows and processes. This is how the CSP/ECM specialist helps companies and organizations reach their full potential.
