Biotron Labs
Enhancing Data-Driven Decision making

Pavol Magic, CEOBiotron is stirring a revolution mainly in the petrol retailers and smart city sectors by offering location intelligence through data collected by their Mobile SDK that can be implemented in any mobile application, be it iOS and Android.
The company has two indigenous analytics solutions, namely—Mobilyze for cities and Petrolyze for petrol retailers. The Mobilize solution helps municipalities make data-driven decisions based on the real-time analysis of movement patterns of people.
We enable innovation through data, giving highest priority to transparency and privacy to customers
On the other hand, the Petrolyze solution helps petrol retailers to gain insights into their business process. The company has an elaborate and accurate petrol station database, which is regularly updated to reflect any changes. In addition to business intelligence on traffic and visits, the Petrolyze solution provides additional analytics such as potential cannibalisation and competing visits.
To elaborate more on their analytics products, Magic shares a customer success story of an international energy company that wanted to optimize its retail chain in Slovakia through data-driven decisions. The Petrolyze solution of Biotron is helping them achieve the desired results by leveraging data from mobile devices and combining it with road network geometry, and open government datasets. It provides the energy company with a detailed report that contains traffic and movement analysis, catchment area analysis, and potential cannibalization of an existing chain, as well as similar data for their competition.
The company’s platform uses customers’ data from various sources to detect specified data patterns, enabling them to extrapolate actionable insights into their business processes. Not only analytics, but the data gathered by SDK is also used to train behavioural models in artificial intelligence-based applications, as it requires troves of real-time data. Moreover, Biotron also provides legal consulting for organisations to ensure that they comply with GDPR and other data privacy regulations.
To increase transparency and privacy in data collection and utilisation, Biotron has recently started using Blockchain that creates an immutable chain of records, strengthening its security standards many notches higher. The company also shares part of the revenue with the people whose data it uses for analysis. Looking ahead, Biotron is investing in machine learning to strengthen its analytics portfolio. The company is presently serving in the markets of Africa, Europe, and the Middle East, and is planning to expand its footprint in other countries.
