EVI, with more than three years of experience in the financial industry, has been playing a pivotal role in the ever-evolving payment technology landscape by empowering merchant solution providers to move and manage their classic payments proposition into a new value-added world of apps, payments, and smart devices. Through its open ecosystem that combines apps, payment services and a multi-vendor selection of payment devices, the company is challenging the usual state of payment landscape while helping merchants to step up to do more. It is bringing flexibility, choice and strategic value to acquirers in their relationship with merchants, and also getting both acquirers and merchants closer to their relevant customers and smooth the process of actual innovation.

With the help of AEVI’s open ecosystem, which is more than just a payment terminal, businesses can offer merchants a market-oriented business solution with high-quality POS apps, services, and Android-based POS devices, all under their brand. AEVI also gives businesses the opportunity to provide customized, value-added solutions to merchants of different verticals, like retail, hospitality & travel, services, health, financial services and many more. Besides, the ecosystem enables businesses to get in touch with the AEVI’s community of app solution providers so that they can take advantage of new-found flexibility in creating new business models and revenue streams.

We now have to focus on helping customers to determine and implement their new strategy, using value-added apps and services and upgrading their payments infrastructure

The ecosystem also frees businesses from hardware while offering a multi-vendor selection of devices, connected to the private marketplace; and helps in creating more engaging relationship with the merchants by providing fully equipped admin functionality so that both the parties can keep an eye on everything that is going on with the usage of their device and apps.

Centralization is the core of AEVI, and the company not only provides this within the country but across the border. The company integrates all existing transaction channels into one simplified solution. The best in-store solution provides merchant solution providers with the choice to select from the best-in-class apps and hardware that are integrated in a standardized way. One such solution of AEVI is Albert, which has been named after the renowned physicists Albert Einstein. Albert is the AEVI’s flagship SmartPOS development which was co-created with Commonwealth Bank of Australia (CBA) and launched in 2015. Albert–an Android-based tablet–is a trend-setter with an integrated encrypted PIN pad, card reader and receipt printer – an all-in-one POS that also runs productivity apps. Being the first solution of its kind, it takes secure cashless payments from any card or mobile device and is EMV-ready and PCI-certified.

AEVI with a business process of approximately 1.2 Bn transactions globally services tycoons like Total, Shell and Tesco. To enhance its services better, the company has lately announced key global partnerships and established a strong presence in the Americas. Besides, the company recently got the best in-store solution award at the Payments Awards organized by FStech and Retail Systems. This was the second time in a row that AEVI has been recognized for its high level of innovation.

With the same motivation to do more, AEVI envisions being the number one ecosystem for secure transactions and high quality, value-added apps, and services. "AEVI has developed fantastic propositions for acquirers globally. We now have to focus on helping customers to determine and implement their new strategy, using value-added apps and services and upgrading their payments infrastructure," states Mike Camerling, President and Managing Director at AEVI.

AEVI Secures Trading In White-Label POS Pact

AEVI and Secure Trading/acquiring.com said they have teamed up to offer a POS solution that focuses on white-labeled, standalone and semi-integrated hardware and services.

The companies said in a press release that they have extended their cloud-based payment gateway (via Secure Trading) and acquiring solution (acquiring.com), adding AEVI’s payment app and POS solutions. The end result is that Secure Trading/acquiring.com can offer omnichannel POS solutions stretching across smartPOS, mPOS and Internet of Things, among other payment form factors. The AEVI payment app is vendor-agnostic.

AEVI, according to the release, was selected for the collaboration due to the reach and depth of the firm’s card-present solutions that span Europe and the United States.

The companies added that Secure Trading will initially use AEVI’s Digital Service Centre to provide standalone EMV payments for their customers, and will also offer semi-integrated solutions for key client verticals.

As noted by Jonathan O’Connor, chief commercial officer of Secure Trading, “A single platform for merchant boarding and reporting will form the foundation of our market solution. Our key focus is on client simplicity for our omnichannel, go-to-market solutions.”

He added that “our vision is to deliver product innovation and vendor-agnostic POS, serving retail, hospitality and hotels, in addition to emerging markets such as cryptocurrency and blockchain, all supported by our center of excellence based in Malta.”

In the same statement, Nigel Bidmead, senior vice president of global sales at AEVI, said, “We are delighted to have been selected by Secure Trading as their partner to step into the next generation of acquiring. The in-store point of sale environment increasingly leverages digital data to improve customer experiences by becoming an integral point of interaction. This partnership will be at the forefront of this innovation.”
