AERZEN Digital Systems is the digital specialist within the AERZEN Group. Established as a subsidiary of Aerzener Maschinenfabrik GmbH, the company focuses on mitigating the challenges associated with the digitalization of blower technology. Its tailored cloud-based digital services are built on practical knowledge gained from working with customers and over 150 years of combined experience in the mechanical engineering space.
While most of its competitors lack experience in machine operations, AERZEN Digital Systems brings in its know-how to advise customers about the right path they need to take. For example, wastewater treatment plants consume a high amount of energy. Particularly, the aeration of the biological treatment process with compressed air is energy-intensive, consuming around 80 percent of total energy use. AERZEN Digital Systems can help organizations save energy and, therefore, their overall operational costs with its digital services. In addition, the company ensures the highest efficiency of blowers over the whole lifecycle, saving up to efficiency losses of 8 to 10 percent.
We brought our experience, knowledge, and expertise to every machine in the world and transform data into valuable insights
The company also delivers a Condition Monitoring system that avoids the unpredicted total loss of machines. With the combination of the AERZEN measurement devices and algorithms, the company can monitor the machines nearly 24/7, notify the customer in case of any issues, and provide them with a plan of action.
“Our goal is to consult machine builders with our extensive industry experience and expertise in developing data-based services,” says Ricardo Wehrbein, the Executive Director of AERZEN Digital Systems.
By taking a field-tested approach and bringing in its implementation experience, AERZEN Digital Systems reduces complexity, increases investment security, and promotes an agile way of working. As a result, the company is enabling and consulting other machine builders to build their own key competencies for successful digitalization.
