Even five years back, could we imagine getting back our lost luggage just by tracking it using our smartphones? Or, could we ever imagine kids using virtual piggy banks? Today, all these are becoming a reality; thanks to the technology called the Internet of Things (IoT). IoT has already started triggering a huge demand for these innovative products in the market. In an attempt to cater to this rising demand in the domain of ICT, global IoT solution provider Accent Systems is leveraging the IoT technology in introducing more products like the aforementioned ones.

Accent Systems had started its journey as a solution-provider for electronic products. According to the company’s CEO, Jordi Casamada, it stepped in the industry of advanced IT solution only after facing a high demand for the IoT devices. Being in the industry for about 11 years, today this company has established itself as one of the major beacon providers and manufacturers of IoT trackers. Accent Systems’ customer base includes Volkswagen, Samsonite, and Blesh, among many others. Today, Accent Systems has carved a niche for itself by bringing in some of the greatest IoT innovations in the market. The IoT tracker developed by the company is the first GPS tracker with Narrowband- IoT (NB-IoT), LTE Cat-M1 (LTE-M), and GPRS interface, which tracks and monitors both indoor and outdoor location of assets with real-time data.
From cold chain monitoring to livestock monitoring, this IoT tracker provides solution across different verticals.

“Until now, we’ve connected big and expensive devices, like TVs, computers or smartphones, but from now on everything can be intelligent,” says Casamada while talking about NB-IoT. “Imagine, for example, a smart city where all the streetlights are connected and can be controlled individually. This could optimise and reduce consumption.” According to him, NB-IoT is the “best technology to broadcast small amounts of information sporadically”. This technology also comes with low power consumption for the devices. LTE-M is another Low Power Wide Area (LPWA) technology which allows in achieving superior data rates, lower latency and more accurate device positioning. Voice and mobility are also supported by LTE-M.

Accent Systems is always in the pursuit of making its technological solutions more efficient. Recently, in Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2019, the company presented the latest and updated version of its NB-IoT-based and LTE-M-based IoT trackers.

Accent Systems also manufactures four varieties of Bluetooth beacons and a large number of customised beacons. In fact, a major percentage of the company’s revenue comes from the customised IoT solutions provided to its customers. Among several achievements that go to its credit, Accent Systems, as a solution-provider for Samsonite, has developed a Bluetooth beacon to attach to the luggage that enable travellers track their suitcases, if lost. With this IoT technology developed by Accent Systems, Samsonite now assures a better experience to its customers while they are travelling. Accent Systems has developed another Bluetooth beacon technology for Volkswagen. It is an intelligent key fob that allows finding keys and mobile phones. Volkswagen uses this product to promote loyalty among its customers. Accent Systems has also developed a Bluetooth-incorporated virtual money box for the kids. This IoT-solution company is both a manufacturer and a hardware and firmware developer for these projects.

Accent Systems has now come up with an IoT location platform called “inmolecular” that enable a safe and fast managing and monitoring of IoT devices in real-time, and access analytic reports. The platform has a tool called pTRACK, developed for Boehringer Ingelheim, which assesses and monitors biosecurity and management risks in pig farms. With these efforts, Accent Systems is working towards their goal of growth and winning.
