DEC-JAN 2018CIOAPPLICATIONSEUROPE.COM6DEC - JAN - 2018CYBER SECURITY SPECIALEditorialMaking Way for a Secured FutureBusinesses across the globe have always had concerns about cyber threats which now seem to be intensifying with attackers using sophisticated ways to getting into an organization's systems and data base. What's most common today is that hackers get access to the consumers' data held by businesses, putting a lot at stake for them. Lately, global giants from various industries have experienced such data breaches which caused them great losses. Europe too witnessed attacks like Petya and WannaCry along with several others that kept making headlines throughout the year. And as an outcome, the European Commission in September introduced a reform package which consists of initiatives such as a stronger EU cyber security agency and an EU-wide cyber security certification scheme. However, to be completely protected against data breaches and other threats, organizations will have to internally develop an ecosystem, which is sturdy and capable of securing data. It's essential that every business, irrespective of its size or nature of operations develops cyber security mechanisms that can't just deal with them but can also keep them informed about any likely attacks. It's important to note that as businesses better prepare for the future to deal with the cyber attacks, the attackers too continue to find new ways to carry out such activities. In such a scenario, it's important for businesses to secure themselves against the cyber threats. CIO Applications Europe aims to aid this process by helping organizations in Europe to associate with cyber security companies that can be their partner for a secured future.Let us know your thoughts.
