Since simply creating a product and pushing it upon customers no longer works. Marketing is now forced to listen to customers and find ways of converting interactions into personalized, value-laden products that are affordable and better than that of competitors. Marketers needs to understand the consumer behavior accurately and must sync their technology around the data, that's precisely where marketing technology comes into picture, which helps marketers move the needle on performance. Today's marketing technology provides increasingly granular, targeted marketing; it delivers more meaningful consumer interactions, market analysis and market segmentation, as well as promotes a product's value to the customer. The advancements in natural language processing have enabled marketers to accurately carryout sentiment analysis or to personalize content by echoing the same language that customers use. Marketers today are largely inclined towards bringing emotion analysis and demographics closer than before to develop a new breed of segmentation. As emotion analysis and emotional metrics have the ability to differentiate between customers who are most likely to buy, may buy in future, are interested in a particular product or will never buy, it enables marketers to have a laser-like focus on prospects, leads, and advocacy. From a marketing point of view, augmented reality is showing a lot of potential as it adds an extra layer to the in-person experience. Voice search is another trend that is rapidly becoming the new norm. Thanks to devices like the Google Home and the Amazon Echo and virtual assistants like Siri and Alexa that are simplifying voice commands.Overall marketing technology is a constantly evolving field, there is a huge advantage available for all those who are able to tap into new technologies and put them to use. The key is to apply the pre-existing concepts of marketing to these new technologies. Please let us know your thoughts.Joe PhillipManaging Editoreditor@cioapplicationseurope.comJoe PhillipCopyright © 2019 ValleyMedia, Inc.
